Sandbox Sustainability Ventures (SSV) invests in emerging companies across food, agriculture and adjacent industries that focus on advancing sustainable production, resilient supply chains and healthy consumption, via the Cultivian Sandbox funds.

ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Platform Manager you’ll support all aspects of fund operations, including supporting the team’s investment sourcing and due diligence, portfolio company management, strategic investor engagement, and broader industry relationships. Our team operates in an open, thoughtful and collaborative way. We seek individuals who are self-starters, detail oriented, intellectually curious, and capable of performing at a high level in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing responsibilities.

LOCATION: SBX is a remote-first organization. The SSV team is distributed across the US and works together remotely. This role will also be remote, and may require you to travel to in-person meetings upon request.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support investment and diligence efforts, including updating and maintaining the team’s CRM system, facilitating startup meetings, organizing and supporting team diligence
• Support portfolio company activities, including collecting and updating quarterly financial reports and KPIs, helping the fund team prepare quarterly board reports, and facilitating connections within our networks
• Manage our weekly investment pipeline and fund meetings, including preparing summaries of investment opportunities and portfolio companies updates
• Build out and manage analytics and reporting of team’s investment pipeline KPIs, informing investment strategy and sourcing efforts, investor and LP engagement
• Support strategic investor/LP engagement, including preparing quarterly reports on companies and technologies, facilitating introductions with startups and our networks
• Organize and manage quarterly and annual investor meetings, including developing the themes/topics, communications with investors and guests, and preparation of materials in coordination with finance, investor relations, and investment team
• Join and contribute to any number of SBX-wide initiatives, including learning & development, culture, and technology/communication
• Provide administrative and operational support to team members as needed, including schedule/coordinating team meetings, conferences, and special events

EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience
• Operations, project management, marketing/communications experience
• Prior experience in an investment group, accelerator, or startup preferred

SKILLS:

• Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
• Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Team player with an ability to be collaborative and open as well as work independently
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage several tasks simultaneously
• Ability to interface with senior and high-profile individuals and consistently exude a professional and courteous image
• Ability to work in a remote office environment and proactively leverage technology communication tools (e.g. Slack, Loom)
• Proficient in relevant software programs (e.g. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)
• Adept to learn and manage organization and relationship management software (e.g. Monday, Hubspot)
