Vice President Position

In line with our larger mission, Sandbox Industries has served as the exclusive provider of investment management services to the Blue Venture Fund for over a decade. The Blue Venture Fund is a unique collaboration between BCBS companies, BCBSA, and Sandbox. The Blue Venture Fund invests in promising emerging companies of strategic relevance to BCBS Plans.

Through this work, Sandbox has developed trusted relationships with BCBS Plans and other industry leaders. Over the years, these leaders have asked Sandbox to consult with them on key strategic areas, which has led the team to build a new type of consulting practice.

Sandbox Advisors is the consulting arm of Sandbox Industries providing services across three core areas of focus to healthcare clients.

• Strategy & Insights: identify novel market landscapes and trends from investing activities to define client strategies and long-term goals. • Transactions and Partnerships: evaluation and structuring of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, existing subsidiary assets, minority investments and new company creation. • Digital & Innovation: execution of new ideas, products and services through pilot programs and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead projects and teams to successful delivery
• Manage relationships with C-suite level clients
• Create professional, client-ready materials on complex topics
• Present project findings and lead meetings with clients and their Boards
• Perform comprehensive analysis and research to support project delivery as necessary
• Lead initiatives to build out Sandbox Advisors business and service offerings
• Support client development to grow the business
• Build and grow industry/ function specific expertise to contribute to the business

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years consulting experience leading projects and teams
• Healthcare and/or M&A advisory experience required

Skills:

• Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
• Adept with problem solving in new client situations
• Know how to ask hard questions
• Great relationship building skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to prioritize and manage several initiatives at one time
• Extremely detail oriented
