What you'll do:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Agronomy Operations Associate to manage and coordinate agronomic data across five diverse departments. This role involves overseeing the ingestion and analysis of data related to various agronomic programs, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting, and facilitating effective communication between teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural data or desire to quickly become proficient in handling complex datasets. Responsibilities include data management, program support, and providing insights to optimize agronomic and sales operations and decision-making processes. This position is based remotely across the United States with travel of approximately 5%. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Agronomy Operations.

Compensation Target

$77,000 to $85,000 base salary, plus 10% bonus target.

Bonuses are earned based on annual company and individual performance and are prorated based on start date.

Responsibilities

Support 5 teams within the organization by providing agronomic data analytics and data management services. Those teams are: Technical Agronomy (30%), Customer Success (30%), Sustainability (30%), Data Science (5%), and Sales (5%).

Technical Agronomy (30%)

  • Commercial Trials
    • Assist agronomists in getting data into our trial management software (YMS) throughout the year.
    • Migrate data from YMS into SMS where yield analysis will be conducted.
    • Analyze trial results and enter data accordingly.

Customer Success (30%)

  • Performance Guarantees
    • Receive data from our Customer Support team and migrate into SMS where yield analysis will be conducted.
    • Analyze results and enter data accordingly in order to derive final outcome reports.

Sustainability (30%)

  • All current and future sustainability programs
    • Receive data through partnerships in John Deere Ops Center and Fieldview.
    • Establish a 3 year baseline of fertilizer use by scanning these platforms for historical fertilizer applications.
      • Record data in an efficient and organized manner.
    • Enter all forms of data that are relevant to these programs in a single location, like fertilizer application receipts or fertility plans provided by the grower.

Data Science (5%)

  • Ensure all data has migrated into our trial management software by the end of the season.

Sales (5%)

  • Support customers who want to see their data analyzed and reported on that matches our internal trial analytics.
    • Migrate data from YMS into SMS where yield analysis will be conducted.
    • Analyze trial results and enter data accordingly.

Targeted Skills & Experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite, Salesforce and/or other CRM systems
  • 1-3 years + experience working with farm data management software such as SMS, FieldView, MyJohnDeere
  • Experience with project management tools like Monday.com or other related tools
